Family Medical Practice at Diamond Plaza is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Raffles opens weekdays 8:00-18:00 and weekends 8:00-17:00. Victoria opens weekdays 8:00-20:00 and CMI 8:00-19:00. Victoria, Family Medical Practice and Raffles bill partner insurers directly. Yersin works Monday to Saturday.

At 18:00 on a weekday, Raffles Medical’s working hours end. CMI stays open to 19:00. Family Medical Practice at Diamond Plaza is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Family Medical Practice — the round-the-clock clinic

Family Medical Practice (FMP) runs four Ho Chi Minh City clinics: Diamond Plaza, Thao Dien, Care1 and Phu My Hung. Diamond Plaza is the one open 24 hours. Its emergency number is *9999, or +84 28 3744 9000, for phone calls only.

*9999 is available 24/7 in English and Vietnamese. FMP offers cashless direct billing through its partner network, and help with pay-and-claim paperwork.

Good for

• A phone call at any hour to the *9999 line.
• Direct billing to partner insurers.

Skip if

• You are not a member and expect a free ambulance. For non-subscribers inside the coverage zone, a day call costs VND 3,820,000 and a night call VND 8,065,000.
• You plan to subscribe on price alone. The *9999 membership costs 1,980,000 VND per person per year.

Raffles Medical — weekend hours and an after-hours hand-off

Raffles Medical is at 285B Dien Bien Phu, Xuan Hoa Ward, phone (028) 3824 0777. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00-18:00 and Saturday and Sunday 8:00-17:00.

Good for

• Weekend visits, Saturday and Sunday 8:00-17:00.
• Emergency-room care during clinic hours.

Skip if

• You need care after hours. Raffles transfers patients to its partner hospital, American International Hospital. For 24/7 emergencies in Ho Chi Minh City, dial *1155.
• You want cashless billing without a card. It can only be applied after a credit card authorisation form is completed, and the patient stays liable until the insurer settles the full amount.

Raffles direct-billing partners include Aetna International, Allianz Worldwide Care, AXA Assistance, Bupa International and Cigna. The Australian list shows English, Vietnamese and Japanese.

Victoria Healthcare — direct billing with a claim fallback

Victoria Healthcare has a site at 20 - 20Bis - 22 Dinh Tien Hoang Street and a Sky Garden 1 site at 1056 Nguyen Van Linh Street, Phu My Hung. The hotline is (028) 3910 4545. Hours are Monday to Friday 8:00-20:00, Saturday 8:00-17:00 and Sunday 8:00-12:00.

For direct billing, present a valid insurance card from a Victoria partner and the card owner’s ID card or passport. Check your insurer is a partner on the clinic’s direct-billing page before you go.

Good for

• Partner-insurer billing with a card and passport.
• Insurers without an agreement: Victoria offers a Claim Support Service.

Skip if

• Your insurer denies part or all of the fees. You then pay the clinic directly.

CMI — evening hours and in-house vaccination

CMI (Centre Medical International) is at 30 Pham Ngoc Thach Street, Xuan Hoa Ward, phone (028) 3827 2366. Hours are Monday to Friday 8:00-19:00 and Saturday 8:00-15:00.

General medicine is one of CMI’s medical specialties. It also runs pharmacy, imaging, vaccination and nursing services.

• You need a Sunday visit or care after 19:00; the hours run Monday to Friday and Saturday.

Yersin International Clinic — fixed-price packages

Yersin International Clinic (Phòng Khám Đa Khoa Quốc Tế Yersin) is at 10 Truong Dinh, Xuan Hoa Ward. Hours are 07:00-12:00 and 13:00-17:00, Monday to Saturday. Phone 1900 633 366 or hotline 093 666 8827.

Gastroscopy under sedation costs VND 2,800,000 at Yersin. Plan on Vietnamese: the clinic’s website is in Vietnamese. Its services menu includes vaccination. Patients are asked to book at least 24 hours before the visit.

Good for

• Endoscopy and checkup packages with a listed price.
• Vaccination.

Skip if

• You need a weekend afternoon or any Sunday visit; hours end at 17:00 and run Monday to Saturday.
• You cannot book a day ahead.
