What to see at Vam Sat

Bird swamp

Thousands of birds gather each year to nest, from April to October. The bird reserve visit is sold only from May to October, so an April trip sees the nesting season but not the reserve walk.

Crocodile swamp and monkeys

The wild monkey reserve and crocodile area are reached by road and form part of Combo 1. Without a combo, the crocodile swamp shuttle costs VND 20,000 per guest return.

How to get to Vam Sat

The Can Gio Bridge held its groundbreaking on 15 January 2026. Construction runs from 2026 to 2029, and the bridge is described as replacing the Binh Khanh Ferry. Until it opens, the routes below cross the ferry.

  1. By road: follow Huynh Tan Phat Street to the Binh Khanh Ferry, cross, and ride about 14 km to the Ly Nhon junction. The ferry fare frame is VND 7,000 to 8,000 for a motorbike and VND 37,000 to 42,000 for a car under 7 seats.
  2. Turn right and ride 20 km more to the junction where a left turn leads to the Vam Sat ticket counter.
  3. By motorbike only: a second route crosses the Hiep Phuoc - Doi Lau river ferry.
  4. Road, then boat: cross the Binh Khanh Ferry and drive about 22 km along Rung Sac road to the foot of Dan Xay Bridge, without crossing it.
  5. Take the operator’s boat there: the water route picks up and drops off guests at the foot of Dan Xay Bridge.

The operator’s address uses the old Ly Nhon commune, now part of An Thoi Dong commune. In a ride app, search for Vam Sat Ecopark and use the map pin below.
